What is error code E4 for Baumatic BDW13 Dishwasher?

My gurantee has just ran out - I have Error Code E4 on my dishwasher (Baumatic BDW13) Any idea what is causing it and if it can be repaired easily?

I took of the two brown plastic panels on the front at the bottom of my intergrated BDW13 and there was a small pool of water. I turned off the power and moped it up and the error was cleared instantly. How the water got there is another problem! But it's working for now.

hi doona dont panic you dont need to take your washer to bits, the e4 error code means your unit has despenced water into the bottom of your appliance and set the cut out switch . remedy....
turn off power... at very bottom of appliance (behind kicker board if it is intergrated ) you will see 2 brown plates on the front . remove them and you will be able to see into the unit there will be puddle of water ? soak up this water with a sponge and dry the area best u can then set your appliance on usual setting and all should work properly. unfortunatly this is only a quick fix for now as with mine i had the same probs 8 months down the line i have same probs but this fix doesnt work any more i think baumatic arent any good as mine was fine till guarantee ran out then nothing but probs. hope this helps..

It means you've been done. My gaurantee ran out a month ago and my machine is in bits on the kitchen floor. I've tried everything and it doesn't work. The handbook says overfill, but what? Salt? Water?
If I find out I'll let you know but just to cheer you up three years ago I replaced everything in the house and NOTHING works. Nothing. I guess its all made in China.
