my citroen picasso has a warning which comes on the dash every now and then?

it keeps saying that the engine is over heating stop now but this is only coming on every now and then it even comes on when the car has not moved for 24 hours

how do i fix it and where is the fault

Mine is doing exactly the same thing. I've just had a look and I reckon the sensor is on the left side of the rad near the bottom. Citroen have quoted me £92 to fit a new one. My local auto factor has quoted me £12 for a new sensor. Guess what I'm going to do!

it cold be an engine coolant temperature sensor,probably located in radiator or top hose from radiator
