I recently refitted my Kitchen and in the process had to disconnect the w/machine. At this time the Hot and Cold supply valves were uncovered for a time and I think that some debris could have got into them.The Problem is that although the Machine works OK when the cycle is completely finished, and the door closed the drum part fills with water. I tend to think that some cut off valve is not working, I would very much appreciate help.

Flow rate could be too high. Try backing off the input taps slightly to give the valves a fighting chance to stop the flow.
