I have an Indesit w103 and the program timer just clicks through all progs in about 5 mins, is this the program or something else?

Obviously a recurring problem...- Nov.2008 - but as you've seen a simple fix. I would like to buy a drink for all of you.
The black dot to the right of the 1 is between the 4 and the 5. When the power button is pressed and held in, the light above will flash three times quickly... this is when you will then push it to the off (button out) position, and like John says above, now turn the dial to the desired wash cycle ( put your clothes in the machine...I forgot -lol ) and Bob's your uncle.

I know the way to fix this. Just had an engineer round . It took him seconds!

Turn the nob round to the black dot to the right of the No 1.
Press in and hold the on/off button untill the lights go off and it goes quiet. turn it to the desired setting and switch it back on. HEY PRESTO!!!! why didn't it have that in the instruction booklet ! that just cost me £25 to find that out from a local washing machine man (if you want to send me a drink for that info I wouldn't be insulted)
