socket set for vauxhall corsa 2002?

i just attempted to change the starter motor on a 1000cc 2002 reg corsa and found that i need special sockets / spanners. What are these called and where can i buy them. Are they available from dealers etc?

DEALERS CHARGE arm and a leg get them from a motor factors , do they look like this (*) they come in chrome vanadium? internal/external versions and will not twist and break.
