I need to replace the power cord on my Rowenta surfline inox. Model #DE-53.4.
I was able to remove the back cover and the clear plastic case. But could not remove the item where the wiring is attached any ideas???

on the upper part of the cord wrap. is "a star" screw. remove it and the plastic spool and comes off. It reveals a connection strip. On our model it has a clear plastic cover and two "potted" items each with two wires. The AC cord runs down to the rear of the connection strip. The rest should be easy
