I have recently purchased a very good second hand mcculloch petrol strimmer and I would like to know what the quantity to quantity is of 2-stroke oil to petrol is please

....that's assume the questioner is using 25:1 oil Dave.

Could seriously over oil it if they're using a 50:1 oil mix it 25:1 like you suggest.

More seriously they could be using a cheap 25:1 dilution ratio oil and mix it at 50:1 and seize it up.


Always dilute to the ratio the oil manufacturer recommends their oil should be diluted to- then you won't have problems- it wil be marked on the bottle of oil.

mixture is probley 25/1 if used domesticaly mixture bottles or cups can be bought from any good garden machine sales
