The way I found was to hang the caliper with a length of wire from the main suspension spring.
***Take care not to strain the brake pipe***
Use a 5" G clamp and a pair of slip joint plumbers pliers.
Place the G clamp carefully with the screw thread end on the caliper piston, so it spans the whole length of the caliper.
Apply a little force with the clamp onto the piston, not too much, and with the slip joint pliers, gently rotate the piston clockwise as you look at the piston end.
Keep putting a little force onto the clamp then turn the piston, keep doing this in turn and you should have success.
I left the position of the special tool cutouts horizontally as I found them.
One side with this method took about 45mins to replace the pads, not like half a day for the other side!
