What method do I use to install gas line back on inlet tubing on trimer?

The gas line came of of the tubing leading to the carburetor. The line appears to small in diameter to go back on the tubing. How can I get the line back on the tubing of my excalibur 2o" gas Hedge Trimer?

with a plastic fuel line hose just hold the end in BOILING WATER till SOFT this will then easily stretch over the tubing.
