Can I repair my kitchen worktop?

Our kitchen worktop is the 'bushboard' chipboard with laminate finish type found in most kitchens, one area appears to have 'swollen' and lifted probably due to ingress of moisture, can I repair this?

If the laminate has just lifted and there is no swelling of the mdf just cver with a tea towel and iron it. the glue will melt and re-stick and reseal it as well
