Sounds reasonable,only way to be sure is fit belt.make sure the camshaft lobes on no 1 cyl are pointing up and out,ie10 to 2 in clock position,and with injectors/splugs removed slowly and carefully turn engine over using crankshaft pully bolt while listening for any contact inside.if you'r wrong then u can feel valves touching before dammage is done.and back off.alternate.remove camshaft,this will ensure all valves clear,turn crank with finger over plug/injector hole on cyl 1 untill air is expeled,when air stops it's at tdc.If possible,inserting a slim screwdriver into plughole injector holeand watching rise and fall tdc will be visable.dont let the screwdriver jam.this will not work on indirect diesel's
