but when i put cam to the light
i can see the light....

check that the twain aquire is set up to actually aquire from the right place.If you have more than one contraption connected eg scanner,camera,capture card,it is possible it is trying to use the wrong one.

It may be broken. Try pointing it at a very bright light and see if you can see the light it the picture. (It may be that the brightness is at fault.)
