My Canon NP-6030 copier is making horizontal streaks across the top (1/2 inch) and bottom (1 inch) of every copy. I would imagine my fuser roller is shot. I was wondering if cleaning it would help, how much they are and if I personally can put one in. I'm pretty handy with electronic stuff... ham radio, etc.

The fault could be the fuser and could also be the drum unit. If you look at the fuser you will see if there is any marks on it that match up with the ones on trhe copy. If not is is probably the drum. You will need a qualified tech to fit these parts.
