Re: ADP8332 Dishwasher fault -F1?

My ADP8332 is about 18 months old so out of guarantee. I set it to wash yesterday evening and this morning found that it had water in the bottom but was showing error -F1. The rinse light is also on. Is there anything that I can do to fix this?

I telephoned Diplomat this morning and asked what the fault -F1 was and they said it was probably just a blocked filter. They suggested pouring a kettle of boiling water down the filter and said that this usually worked. Hooray it appears to have done so!

Thank you Mechman and Foxy for your solutions. If you are right Foxy what do we have to do to correct this error. Sorry but I am not technical at all!

Hi Sylvia, the answer below is okay if the water is in the lower base where the motor and electrics are but I think the water is in the base where the filter is.Water in the electrics is error F2 or F4.
As my other answer if it shows F! and this is the heater sensor. When they abort the programme,it automatically reverts to the left hand rinse light.
all the best.

Hi, we had (and still have) exactly the same problem. It's an electronic protective arrangement that stops the machine should water get into the electronics. Turn the machine off at the power supply and remove the power plug. The bottom draw can be removed by pushing in the two clips found at the front/sides/bottom of the draw.
Now, being careful of the under draw hose/wires etc, pull the draw towards you slightly and then lift the empty draw up and over (say) the left hand support runner and rest the draw on that and the floor. You then have access to the inside base. (push the other runner in, out of your way)
Mop up the surplus water with a towel and leave to dry completely for a few days. The 1st time I did this it worked for about a month or so until the problem reappeared. I eventually found the problem to be a pin hole leak in the bottom draw hose. (which I've repaired)
Since then I have not been entirely successful in repeating the repair. (fails after and hour or so) I think I'm still getting some moisture occasionally.
You may have a leaking draw seal causing the same problem.
Anyway, good luck with it. (and don't buy another!)
