Mobile dropped in water, won't work, any ideas?

Recently dropped my Nokia 3310 in water ans it now fails to take a signal. Will switch on but when looking for signal shuts down and says "contact service". Any ideas please?

wash in lacqer thinner then let it dry, or reflow with slight heat and more air.

OK simple. If you think you aren't capable of this, get someone like ur dad to do it. If you think you are ok, take a small screwdriver, turn off the phone (remove the bat.) and unscrew all the screws on there (six altogether) and let it dry. After that put all of it back together. I "operate" on my 3310 all the time when it goes skinny dipping lol.

had same problem phone dropped in bath , found a firm on the web from norwich which dealt with water damaged phones sorry cant remember the name but try a search online , was about 35 quid , must admit not perfect when we got it back , but it worked just a bit slow , (he said the worst thing we could have done was dry it out with hair dryer (we did that ))
