I assume you have solved the problem by now after 12 months.
My daughter had a similar problem with her Meriva indicators this week and the problem was with the indicator relay. It's a common problem with this model. The relay is housed under the scuttle on the right side of the engine compartment under the bonnet. It's easier to change if you remove the passenger side windscreen wiper first. Then loosen the scuttle to get access. The replacement relay costs about £20.00.
