Easy.
You need new line of about 1.65mm dia. Unwind TWO equal lengths, about 8m each.
Disconnect the mains and tuyrn the unit upside down. You'll see two plastic clips either side of the base of the spool, pushing these in should allow you to ease out the base. This will reveal the spool itself, which should just gently pull off the spindle.
Push one end of each of your new strands through the small hole into the core - one above and one below the divider. Tie a small knot (doesn't have to be tight - just enough to stop the line sliding back out of the hole) in the end (B&D don't do this - that;s why the last meter or so of line come out all in one go when you reach the end!) Tuck the knots into the slot in the core.
Now, wind the spool, one of the two strands will wind into each "slot". Doesn't have to be pretty but try to keep ti reasonably snug so it can't tangle. Once you're down to the last six inches, feed each end through one of the two opposing slots in the outside of the centre and then, guiding the two ends so they stay in their slot and don't tangle, slot the spool back in. Wiggle it until it locates properly on the centre spindle and the escapement lever is properly in the slot. Pop the cover over, easing the two clips back into their correct slot. This should snap all the way home and latch - if it doesn't i'll come off as soon as you fire up.
That's it - just start using as normal...
