release of piston on rear brake pads of ford galaxy 2001 with abs?

how can i release the piston back into its housing? i have the proper tool but the piston wont go back in. the piston is not seized as the hand brake still works.

With these calipers I always crack open the bleed screw and connect a bleeding pipe and fluid to it,before I wind in the piston.Reasons are, released pressure, voiding the real nasty fluid in the caliper, and it negates any possibility of forcing fluid back past abs pump or master cylinder seals.Oh and always back hbrake cble adjuster's right back and manually return the caliper lever operating arm to the fully off position.
