You're lucky that I'm here. Go on ebay and order a tri-wing screwdriver , take the back off of the DS.... look for 2 connections that say F1 & F2 ... bust out a soldering iron and 2 small pieces of wire cut to the proper length... jury rig a bridge across the 2 connections on F1 , and also do the same for 2.

I'd say you blew the 2 fuses :).

Things with batteries that get wet do suffer, if you can get the battery out it will help, but only if its easy. If you can or cant get it out DO NOT try to switch it on it needs to be dried out in a warm place i.e airing cupboard for at least 3 or 4 days then try to switch it on if it will switch on the battery might still need to be replaced this doesnt always work but is a good starting point. I have fixed several mobile phones that have gone for a swim.

Not an answer but a similar problem.
My son dropped his DS into a river. It didn't work immediately (no surprise there) but then after it had dried out it worked but the charging light was on. When it came to needing charging it won't hold charge or work even on mains.
I suspect it's a gonner?

Put a question in: toys, Games Consoles. This is for computer hardware and is unlikely to be visited by a Games Console expert.

I ma not an a expert but I would say that if it was powered up at the time - it's toast.
