How can I fix my bosch 'no frost' fridge/freezer ?

I have a bosch 'no frost' fridge freezer but no manual. every few months the freezer alarm sets off and the temperature rises to -12 or warmer and I don't know how to reset it. everything on the fridge is in german and nothing makes sense... the min temp is set for -13 and max at -23... I don't know what sets it off or how to fix it myself. HELP! There is a 'super' button which i've pressed - don't know what that does either...

I know at least three others with the same problem. If you contact Bosch they will replace the microprocessor control board (I've had it done twice >£120 2 years ago). Check that there is no dust build up (switch off first!) on the cooling tubes at the back. Also apparently draughts and room temperature fluctuations can confuse it. Mine was doing at a regular time at night and I suspect it was due to high frequency spikes in the power supply caused by a hairdryer interfering with the control system. There appears however to still be a design fault (particularly if you set to eco.) where once you drop below the temperature threshold (-18' or whatever) they don't recover and you have to switch off - wait- then on. Bizarrely the true temperature is displayed then which may be lower than when you switched off! Typically changing from -17' to -14'. Give me a "normal" freezer with a mechanical thermostat anyday!!
