whats the problem with my lights on a 96 escort?

i suddenly have no rear lights and no front sides. i do still have dipped/full/brake. i cant find any reference to a fuse in the manual.

Hi martin your problem is the light switch on the steering colome i know as i have the same problem with mine which
will work if i flick the switch a few times i bet your interior dash lights don't work either ?
i guess it is a connection fault
