I cant find the rheostat on my fiat ducato ?

My heater fan on my 1991 fiat ducato has stopped working. The fan motor is fine and the fan speed switch on the dash seems ok. In the wiring diagram there is a rheostat connected to the fan speed switch but I don't know where to look to find it. Can anyone point me in the general direction.

Hi Frank
We have an 04 ducato motorhome with the same problem - it only works on fast speed - we are on our second rheostat in as many months, and will be taking it back next week for the garage to investigate further - will keep you posted as it seems its more than just a rheostat replacement - i can only tell you that it sits in the engine bay somewhere,, and has a fitting time of less than an hour - hope this helps.
PS - Stay well away from Marquiss Tewkesbury - they farm all their mechanical work out, and you dont see your vehicle for weeks !!!

Cheers
Adie
