how toremove line cover on mcculloch electrolux TM250 petrol strimmer?

this is a flat top, dome shaped plastic cover, with arrow showing direction to turn in order to remove for access to fit new line. I am unable to unscrew this cover, can you help please? is there a special tool.

i HAD THE SAME PROBLEM, JUST TURN THE COVER AS FAR AS IT WILL GO IN THE DIRECTION OF THE ARROW TILL IT STOPS THEN GENTLY LEVER IT OFF,USE A SPOON HANDLE OR SOMETHING SIMILAR, IT SHOULD THEN LIFT OFF. TRY A SPRAY OF WD40 OR SOME OTHER LUBRICANT THIS SHOULD HELP.

Make sure you lubricate the thread when you reassemble. I have this strimmer and after winter storage the head was impossible to remove without destroying the plastic.

Buy flexible Jar top remover adjust to size tighten tape,turn in required direction and hey presto The top opens up. I did it myself!.
