intermittant oil warning light!?

I have a 1.9dci 54reg renault megane tourer with 101000 on clock. The oil warning light is intermittantley appearing on dashboard! have topped oil level up but is still appearing! service not dew for another 4500 miles. can you please assist me with diagnostics?only reasonable answer i can come up with is oil pressure pump starting to fail or faulty sensor? someone please tell me it's just the sensor!

Could be a sticking pressure relief valve.

Could be the oil pump is wearing out.

Could be main bearings worn but unlikely if it has been maintained properly.

I'd start by doing an oil change first, replacing the oil filter with a genuine Renault one. Use the correct grade oil. See if that cures the problem.
