How do i remove the battery on a vauxhall sintra?

Can anyone tell me how to remove the battery on my Vauxhall Sintra 2.2 CD

hi,the battery on the sintra is a pain to get at,just done one recently on the 3litre v6 so i would imagine it.s the same, there is a long steel pole which is bolted by 4bolts 2at the top &2 at the bottom. just detach the fuse box from this ,you must remove the red batt wire first, move the fusebox out the way &the power steering reservoir also out the way & you will see the battery disconnect the terminals (7mm spanner).you won,t lose the bolts, the are connected to the battery cables, now you have to loosen the small plate that holds the battery in place, with a 13mm socket,&an extension bar loosen the nut that holds the plate & lift out,a bit tricky this don,t drop the bolt ,but i,m sure you can get it out ok then with a bit of luck the battery should come right out ..if it,s the same as the 3ltr v6 it,s a side terminal one ...try carbatteryshop.co.uk they have them, about £75..£80 ithink...best of luck ..you will get it out take your time.....
