How can I rewire the solenoid on a westwood T1800?

Old solenoid was removed and wireing so need to replace solenoid and wireing
Graham, August 2008
Obtain a new solenoid. A universal type is recmmended (2 heavy connections and 1 small one).

Bolt it down. This is important - it must be grounded.

Connect one heavy connection to battery +'ve.
Connect other heavy connection to starter. USE HEAVY CABLE FOR THIS.

Connect the small terminal to the 'START' connectionon the ignition switch (usually marked 'S').

Connect 'B' terminal on Ignition switch to battery +'ve.

Connect 'M' terminal on ignition switch to engine kill wire.

That's it. If you need to wire up all the safetys as well, drop me a line.
