It was a bad move to clear programming. You may have removed important system settings now. cash registers do not have plus buttons. They have departments, or price look ups. These are the blank buttons in a group that you place item labels under. These are effectively all plus buttons, but they are for different categories. For example, a food business may label one department 'hot food', then another 'cold food' etc.
To use it, you turn the key to R (register) mode.
type 100 (no decimal point. The machine will add one automatically to make it $1.00)
Now press a department button eg 'cold food'
You keep doing this to add, so price, dept, price, dept and so on.
At the end of your sale, press SUBTOTAL, and the sale total is displayed. Ask the customer for this amount.
You finish the sale with a payment key, eg credit.
If the cust. pays cash, you can calculate change by typing in the amount received eg. if they hand you a 20 dollar note, type 2000. Now press CASH, and it will display the change on the screen.
Give that a try, and let me know if you have any trouble.
