Hello all,
I have a problem with my car. It is a Daewoo Lanos sedan. The Airbag indicator lamp will not switch off anymore. To be specific: when I switch on the ignition, the lamp will be on, this was normal. After a couple of seconds, it will be off, this is normal too. And then, after one second, it will be on again, and this is NOT normal, it should stay off.
It is not a real problem, but it is not the normal situation. I would like to fix the problem....
I had no collision, did not hot a tree, did not bump into anything. One thing may be a connection: I had to disconnect some parts of the dashboard, to exchange some pilot lamps which were defective. I think (but not sure) the problem came after this action.
I already checked all connectors and wiring. After disconnecting the dashboard again. It seems to be OK.

Any idea how I can solve the problem? If I go to the Daewoo dealer, he sure can fix it. For some ??? amount. But maybe the problem is easy to solve?

I also have the same problem! I have a Daewoo Lanos SE 52reg and after fitting my stereo the light stays on! Is it just with Daewoo's of does it affect all cars?

if the light stays on this is a warning YOUR AIRBAGS WONT WORK IN AN ACCIDENT dont mess about get it fixed

The main loop d8972 (part no) located behing the middle airevents has been disturbed. There is a connection on wire no. 36 in coloure red/green. Check the connection at the bulk head end. I have these all the time just pull the plastic seal off and disguard. Then reconect and use some electric tape around it. Happy to help enjoy :)

I have a Daewoo Lanos Saloon 1600xs 1999 model, The identical thing has happened to me . I had to replace a bulb behind the speedo and have an identical problem, Looks like we could do with a hand
