Dixie, first off you need an airgap if there isn't already one. The airgap to do it yourself is 30 bucks. You have to drill a 1 1/4 hole in the sink. If you get a plumber it's 125 bucks. It takes about 30 minutes. You will have to pick up a second piece of hose.
Also there is a filter that gets cloged from mineral deposits in the water. I had to pull it out of my machine. It is located above where the waterhose hooks up. There are four screws on mine once removed it released the piece with the filter I found clogged.
My machine is sounded and working better like new again!! Good luck and don't loose the black o-ring that is on the plastic piece that the filter sits inside of.
I don't know what someone would charge to fix that it took me less than 30 minutes.
