Notice the steering a bit heavy on my Megane 97 rt diesel.
Looked under the bonnet and found a 'chamber' with no markings on it just to the left of the radiator.
The pot is empty and i was wondering if this is where the power steering fluid lives .

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Might be a daft question, but have you checked the owner's handbook for fluids and maintenance? I don't know the car though. Sorry.
