If its the twin cam engine?Possibly the worst head for an amature(no offense)to attempt.Needs a special tool to lock each cam in place, though timing cam belt replacement is'nt that hard it still rates 3.15 hours. The head is another matter.K series engine's are a pain,The head bolts are very long and connect with the main crankshaft bearings,MUST be renewed and any fitting mistake or moving the crank will result in the mains dropping off requiring the sump to be stripped to replace them.Torqueing the head bolts require another special tool.Gskt failure very common and succesfull repair difficult for ammature, say ,a good days work for diy..Unless it's the sohc engine then it's a breeze, say 2 hours ,if your good.Dont start either without a haynes manual.
