Royal register pwrs on but dies after two min. ?

I have a royal register that will power on but after about two minutes it dies and takes unplugging everything to get it going again.

Very hard to say. It sounds a bit like a cracked solder joint inside. If you give it a smack on the side a few times, it might come on also. If this happens, it's almost certainly bad soldering. It definitely sounds like it needs workshop attention anyway.
