white knight dryer sensor?

My dryer has a sensor that stops drying when the washing is fully dry. This works on both hot and cool cycles. My dryer is still getting hot but stopping well before the washing is dry. What can this fault be and how can i fix it.

Sorted my problem where my white knight dryer stopped before the clothes were dry (a bit more than damp), maybe it's the same for you. In addition to the two sensors on the back of the machine, if you remove the top cover and look at the top of the drum, there is an additional sensor (attached to the circuit board by a red wire) which pushes down on the metal sleeve which wraps around the drum.
When new, it looks like this

My one had worn down so that only the spring remained. I ordered the above, replaced it in the machine, and all works again.

Hope this helps

Nigel.

I have the same issue. WhiteKnight IntelliDry Model CL797R stops before the clothes are dry. Which Sensor do I need to get.

On shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk, there is
: 'Sensor carbon brush'
: 'Inlet thermostat (situated near the heater)'
: 'White Knight Tumble Dryer Reset Thermostat'

The sensors could be dirty try cleaning the dryer sensors. Also the dryer may not be level so the clothes don't hit the sensors. Use the timed drying mode which by passs the sensors.

Sounds like you need a new sensor !
