I used mine once and I experienced the problem the second time tring to use it. If I buy the new Gasket will I experience the same problem (10% ethenol in my state) or will I be better off using RTV? Please feel free to email me with any answers bullmd@gmail.com

I have the same problem too. I am going to take apart the fuel system. This is a new &(I^%%!! mower too. Quality control at Briggs and Stratton has gone down the tubes. I tried looking for an accelerator pump for this engine, but none so far.

It dies like it is fuel-starved because it IS, unfortunately. I have the same mower and it just cost me $60 to have a flimsy rubber "gasket" installed. This thing goes betwen the carburetor and the fuel tank on top of the much thicker gasket. If I remember correctly, the portion that went bad was the accelerator pump. It hardened due, in part, to the ethanol that I'm forced to run in it.

Do yourself a favor and just buy the thing and install it yourself. It takes minor hand tools and about ten minutes.

I dont have an answer but my weedeater 500 does the same thing. I bought it new this year after 20+ good years with my old B&S Mower. What gives with this brand new mower?
