I have an Electrolux ECN2747 chest freezer purchased in May 2003. It has always maintained a temperature of -18 to -20 at the midway setting on the thermostat. It is struggling to maintain -12. This level does not appear to change if the thermostat is set to medium or high. Could the thermostat be at fault? If so is it easy to replace?
I have checked grills/vents are clear & nothing is fouling the lid or its seal. Help or suggestions are welcomed

dont think it will be a stat fault. more likely to be a gasing issue or compressor fault
