My brakes lights have stopped working - nothing to do with the fuses or bulbs, what else could be the problem?

Also, the indcator switch just stopped working (!) i can lift it slightly so it still flashes but have to hold it, it won't go up or down fully to click into place.

Had the same problem on my 106 brake lights stopped working checked fuses and bulbs. the actual prob on my car was the Brake switch, the part cost about £15 if you change yourself or at garage bout £45.

if i was you i take it to a garage but the indicator fault sound like a comms unit or the indicator stalk itself.
