I have m.t.d.lawnflite sit on, mod. and serial no 184 628 611 DO44B. no other info except machine old. How can i find out which belt size required

My advice would be to track down an MTD Lawnflite agent and buy a genuine belt.
In past experience although genuine belts are more expensive than ones to size from a belt factors they do tend to last longer as they are bonded & re-enforced for the job. (You may find agents now listed under Barrus Lawnflite).
