how can i fix my ariston a1400swd,when its on a high spin there is a terrible knocking noise coming from top of the drum,[bearing seems to be ok]any ideas?

I think i had a similar problem, i removed the plastic cover from the top of the machine and used a 13mm spanner to tighten the three bolts that hold the large weight/brick in place. they had worked lose over time and the washers were free to move.. The noise was very loud on high spin!!
