renault scenic rear passenger door?

i cannot open the door it remains locked when the central locking has released , can i remove the door card with the door closed to get to the lock ?

How old is your car? My father in law has an 05 scenic, and we had a problem getting into the rear offside door, but you have to push the handle in and then pull it to get in, but I'm not sure if yours is the same problem.
