Reply to Caine re: How do I fix problem with my 89 Nissan Pintara?

My Pintara has a Ca20E Engine. Starts fine and drives well but refuses to restart after driving even short distances.have replaced * ingnition module, plugs, plugleads, distributor cap, coils, oxy sensor, cleaned but not replaced fuel filter and have checked valve clearances. The engine retains spark.
Computer diagnostic errors are 22 (fuel pump) and 13 (Water pump) any ideas??????
Thanks for taking the time to reply to my Question.

I'm showing 22 as fuel pump circuit and 13 as coolant temperature sensor.13 is the one i'd address if it was here now.car totaly reliant on cts signal for correct starting conditions but fuel pressure plays a big part.testing is a bit difficult without data,so id replace the coolant temp sensor as a definite first(only?)step.as for 22,that's a bit more complex.if faulty the whole circuit has to be checked, but id start with all the block and single wire connecters striped and cleaned withelectrical switch contact cleaner, and then move onto replacing relayor pump if neccessary.new cts first, nissan part recommended.oh and if you havent, renew the rotor arm!
