To remove the blade(s) I believe that it is just one bolt in the center of the blade. Remove that bolt and the blade will come off. To sharpen the blade, just use a file and go in one direction across the blade. Try to stay at the same angle as the factory edge. One of the most important things as to use a blade blancer. That is something that the blade sets on after you sharpen it to make suer that it is balanced. You can usually pick up a cheap one for a few dollars and it will keep you from getting an uneven cut
