How can I fix rear door handle on '04 Mondeo Ghia?

went to open rear door and the handle stayed out.Tried pushing it back in but no joy.Any ideas please?

these are a right sh*t bag of a problem.the only one i tryed to fix took me an hour & a can of wd40.spraying & working the handle untill it was sorted
