We have taken off the old door seal on washing machine & can't work out how to fit new one. Any diagrams or hints? Thanks

Listen to Phil! Just changed a seal on a Hotpoint WF740 - took about an hour. Followed steps exactly and had no problems. Only thing I would say is there are quite a few sets of screws to remove so make sure you remember which ones go where!

fit new rubber seal internal connected to the drum.
The old rubber is black, we inherited this machine, and need to replace the large rubber seal. It is black !! It is for the hotpoint aquarius. Any help please. I have tried to clean the rubber but it has gone to far, its disgusting and no matter how hard I try it wont clean up, all the little internal rubber oarts are caked in grime yuk.

Worked out well - thanks. New door seal was slightly different but caused no problems.

1) Undo the two screws holding the lid on positioned back left and right.
2) Take the lid off by pushing it to the rear of the machine.
3) Remove the Soap powder tray by depressing the catch, located inside top middle.
4) Remove two screws, located front top LHS, holding the soap powder external box.
5) Remove the front control panel. Two screws located top right and left.
6) Open door and remove the two screws to the right of the door holding the door locking sensor.
7) Next release the outer door seal. By the door hinge you will find a coiled spring under the seal which is attached to a wire that holds the seal on. Place an electrical screwdriver behind the spring and leaver it out pulling the retaining wire attached.
8) Pull the seal off the front cover.
9) Pull the plastic cover off located at the bottom of the machine.
10 Remove the front panel by undoing four screws. Two on the bottom front and two front top left and right. Pull it upwards to remove.
11) The inner seal is held in place by a wire secured by a mechanism found at about two o'clock position. Place an electrical screwdriver at the inner top of the mechanism and push against the wire to release one end. Remove the wire and then the door seal.
12) Reverse these actions to fit the new door seal. You will need a pair of nose pliers to tension the inner wire mechanism mentioned in point 11).
