Snapper RP21600 cranks but won't stay running?

The only way to keep the engine running is to keep pumping the primer bubble. Sometimes the engine starts fine. Other times impossinle. Many times when it does start if there is a load of 1 blade of grass in it's way it dies out swinging at the one blade. I have taken it to two dealers in the Toronto area to no help. I like the mower for it's torque, Ninja mulching blade and auto drive but I have no time for this. It must be the carbeurator but can't seem to find someone to repair.
Are there any other mowers that compare to the featurees I like.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Most of the time the carb is the real problem with your situation. I just recently fixed two mowers and found that the problem was the screw that held on the carb bowl. The holes in this screw have to be clean so liquid and air can pass through. Just use a small pin to get the dirt out. Hopefully this is the answer to your problem.

Ed, I wouldn't buy a new mower. You should be able to correct this problem by yourself for under $40.00. First, if you haven't replaced your belts in a long time, get some new ones. Check your pulleys to make sure none have come loose. Then go online and buy a carb overhaul kit. They are around $20.00. I think cleaning the carb and replacing warn parts will solve this problem. But do yourself a favor and buy a repair manual for your specific engine. This will save you a lot of time and stress. You can also get good advice by posting this question on www.askanowner.com
