I have an 18 inch,32cc cratsman weed trimmer. The gas line running from the tank to the carburator broke. I got a replacement line but found out that the old line was squeezed into a very small hole. It looks like I would have to pull the tank apart and drill a larger hole to fit the new line,but then the new line would leak around the base. How do you repair this baby?

If you will cut the end of the line at an angle, you can get it started into the hole, then use needle nose pliers to pull it on thru. Then cut off the angle cut.

Ed it takes determination. If the new line is an exact replacement part from sears you will be able to do it without drilling a larger hole. You will just have to pinch the end going into the hole and twist and push it in. once you get it started into the hole use a pair of needle nose pliers to grab it inside the tank and pull it through as much as you need. If it isnt the same sive line then it wound fit onto the carb nipple properly
