I have a 1998 16v 1800cc Escort Estate - wont start?

Bought this car a couple of days ago. stated fine on test drive but had apparently been sitting for 2 months apart from MOT. Went to start it this morning, and its just making a loud clicking sound. Lights on dash are all on. immobiliser light flashing also. was going to check the starter but can't find it! Any Help appreciated.

loud clicking sounds like the battery isnt strong enough to turn the starter over, try putting jump leads on and then trying it, if it happens a lot then you might need a new battery, probably due to being left standing for a while!
