I have a 99 laguna 1600cc 16valve, the bulbs that illuminate the trip and milometer are not working, I have tried another dash so I know it is not a dash problem. the trip milometer simply will not light up, but they are still workling, the old shine a light into it and you can see the numerals. any ideas?

sound like youre just unlucky mate. there are tiny bulbs in the back of the clocks which twist a quarter of a turn and pull out. the chances are that the dash you put in also has faulty bulbs behind the trip part of the clock. you can replace the bulbs though, no need to replace the full clocks.
