clio 52 plate 1.2 16v electronic fault & preheating warning light came on when ive driven 50yds then no revs on accelorator at all, had to limp home using low gear and exsisting revs. stop engine and you can start whole sequence again. any ideas would be much appreciated. cheers in advance

I have renault clio 1.2 16v & this electronic fault & preheating warning light comes on maybe once or twice a week. I rev the life out of it and after about 10 seconds & a short drive the light goes out. I asked mechanic & he tought it might be the heater plugs but when he checked it wasn't. It's really starting to annoy me

Having same problem on my 172 cup at the moment.

Been onto RAC website and found that the more likely fault is the wiring harness.
