Dave, if the opening under the mower is wide enough you may not need to take the pulley off. Off you do they are held on in one of two ways. Either by a bolt in the shaft or an allen type screw in the pulley. You may need to apply heat and use a pulley pullet to get it off. Once the pulley is clear start unhooking electrical connections, then your throttle and choke cables. Then simply unbolt the motor from the frame. Move it slowly incase you missed unhooking something
