how can i fix my rover 220 coupe, L reg?

my rover 220 coupe has been missing for the past few months, it doesnt do it all the time, just when it feels like it! I have changed the plugs, plug leads, distributor cap, fuel filter, coil and have checked the rotor arm which is fine. I dont know wat to try next, can any1 help?
